Full time -- Human Resources Director - Human Resources
Position Overview:

Hendry Regional Medical Center, a respected critical access medical center in South Florida with nearly seventy-five years of service to the community, as a thriving, mission-driven organization is seeking to hire a dynamic Human Resources Director to partner with executive leadership in driving HR strategy and supporting a positive work environment and thriving culture. This role is critical in enhancing employee engagement and retention, ensuring Joint Commission readiness, and managing our comprehensive benefits offerings, including our self-funded health plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Joint Commission Readiness:
Lead HR’s readiness to accreditation efforts by ensuring policies, training, and practices align with human resources Joint Commission standards.

• Strategic HR Management:
Oversee full spectrum of HR operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation, competency assessment, wage administration and workforce planning.

• Employee Relations & Compliance:
Responsible for employee relations, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring fair and compliant practices in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations.

• Culture Transformation Leadership:
Participate in the design and implementation of initiatives that foster an engaged, inclusive, and thriving organizational culture in partnership with leadership.

• Employee Recognition:
Responsible for employee recognition initiatives that celebrate the staff of HRMC throughout the year in coordination with leadership and other partners.

• Learning & Development:
Leads hospital-wide leadership and employee development and continuous professional growth programming to support excellence and retention.

• HR Systems & Technology:
Lead the use and optimization of HRIS and other digital tools that enhance employee experience, data analytics, and operational efficiency.

• HR Metrics and Analytics:
Leverage HR analytics and reporting tools to monitor key HR performance indicators to monitor and improve operational performance.

• Benefit & Self-Funded Health Plan Administration:

Lead the management of a self-funded health plan along with all employee benefit programs—medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA (medical/dependent and/or child daycare), retirement, and wellness—including:

o Open enrollment and qualifying life events
o Managing employee inquiries
o Coordinating with TPAs and brokers on claims administration, vendor contracts, renewals, and cost management
o Monitoring plan performance, analyzing claims trends, reconciling invoices, and driving cost-containment strategies
o Ensuring regulatory compliance with FML, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and related federal regulations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field required
• Minimum of 5 years of HR experience of increasing responsibility within healthcare, ideally in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated success in culture transformation, benefits administration, and accreditation support.
• Strong emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, communication skills, and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
• Deep knowledge of hospital HR compliance, ecosystem, and Joint Commission standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Average Weekly Hours: Forty (40)
Wage Status: - Exempt Salaried Position
