Per diem -- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
This position serves as a per diem Certified Occupation Therapy Assistant; responsible for administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician and Occupational Therapist. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician and Occupational Therapist to maximize function and reduce disability following injury, disease, physical disability or developmental disability. The per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant helps patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
The per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. This position requires documentation of treatment delivery, while ensuring that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. This position requires participation in all infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety and fire safety programs, as well as additional hospital-required continuing education.
The per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides input in job evaluations and performance analysis.
Licensure: Must possess a valid Florida Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant license.
Certification(s): BLS (AHA) required
